SSC Customer Support Driver 
Position Summary: Drive on a route to customer sites that have our Self-Service Coin (SSC) counting kiosks. Replace full bins with empty ones, print reports, clean machines, perform light maintenance. Train customer’s staff and maintain good relationships, with the overall objective of maximizing machine up time and customer satisfaction. 

The SSC Customer Support Driver will have a combination of driving, delivery, customer support and service responsibilities for an assigned territory.   

Summary of responsibilities include:

  • Drive truck during scheduled daily distribution of coin bins to machines at various locations.
  • Replacing the coin bin that was picked up with an empty coin bin.
  • Printing totals data reports and resetting the coin count  totals on the machines.
  • Perform general cleaning of the SSC machine and in proper working order.
  • Replace coin pad of the SSC machine if necessary based on wear and perform any other minor adjustments that might be necessary.
  • Complete call with dispatcher or on iPad so that the call has been closed in our system and time, date and nature of the call are recorded for each location.
  • Monthly truck stock parts count and correcting any discrepancies
  • Reporting any servicing issues that are beyond general cleaning and adjustment to the service supervisor that will require a call by a Cummins Allison field service technician
  • Provides quality customer service through regular interaction and communication with account managers, owner and employees
  • Maintains company tools in proper working condition
  • Adhere to all Product Merchandising Programs, Company Machine Standards, and any special requests for products as identified by the Service Manager or SSC Administrator.
  • Insures company truck is cleaned and maintained.
  • Assist with equipment delivery, minor maintenance and warehouse duties which may include shipping or receiving inventory, cleaning and physical parts counts.


  • A proven track record of 1 to 5 years of courier experience is preferred.
  • Employee also must be able to maneuver equipment weighing up to 500 lbs., using casters and dolly system. 
  • A satisfactory driving record is required.  A driver must have a valid driver's license in the state located.  A background check will be required before hiring and at various times as required by companies who process our coin.  Must take and successfully pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, as well as at random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug/alcohol tests.
  • Drivers must have a clean and neat personal appearance.  


  • Drivers must be self-motivated because they spend many hours on the road.  It is also important to be able to work well with little supervision.

Communication Skills:

  • Because drivers often deal with customers, ideal candidates should be neat, well-spoken, courteous .  Driver needs good communication skills to talk to customers, train on equipment, explain procedures and complete paperwork.

Organizational Skills:

  • Drivers need to be well-organized and manage his time in order to push himself to make all scheduled pickups and deliveries.  Drivers may have 4 to 10 pickups and deliveries to make each day. 
  • Drivers need to plan their route each day, plugging addresses into GPS (global positioning system) devices so they can complete each delivery more efficiently.
  • Drivers must also know how much time to allocate for each delivery, including driving time, unloading/ loading, equipment cleaning and paperwork.  Accuracy and attention to detail are important attributes of a driver.
