Description

The Manager, Vocational Sales will grow business and margins by developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics focusing on Government and Municipal vehicle sales to conquest customers and Truck Equipment Manufacturers (TEM’s) within the State of New York, leveraging tools such as our Diamond Logic technologies, and to engage the dealer channel in the medium/severe vehicle business segment.

Achieve identified sales goals:

  • Conquest Unit Sales volume goals
  • Retention Unit Sales volume goals
  • Structuring Sales Proposals Packages for share growth, utilizing Action Plans developed for each Account/Customer
  • Schedule, coordinate, and sell Customers/TEM’s working on Government/Muni Business not currently being sold by the Dealer network – Conquest Accounts
  • Develop relationships with identified Customers/TEM’s that we are currently selling – Retention Accounts
  • Responsible for inventory management

  • Responsible for account payments and collections

  • Provide sales and training support as needed, relative to new product launches, along with national or vocational product showsBring “Voice of Customer” to the developmental process
  • Help develop differentiated offerings utilizing present and future technologies by managing the Dealer organization, and incorporating internal functional resources within the company

Responsibilities

Sales leadership position responsible for executing the organization’s sales plan in order to
grow businesses and margins by developing and implementing sales strategies and tactics. Responsible for selling the company’s products or services, developing new accounts and/or expanding existing accounts. Perform as a resource with high level knowledge of company products and services and introduce new products.  

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or at least 7 years of Sales experience
  • At least 5 years of Sales experience

Qualifications

  • Qualified candidates, excluding current Navistar employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Navistar does not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
  • Ability To Travel Up To 40%
  • Occasional weekend travel and work time may be required

  • The candidate placed into this position will be ineligible to apply for any other positions within the company for two years following the date of placement, unless approved to do so by his or her manager.

  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office including (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)High level of customer focus and responsiveness
  • Organized planner, ability to manage multiple activities simultaneously
  • Possesses immediate credibility with the Dealer Sales Organization
  • Possesses a valid Drivers License with a good driving record
