ORTHOTEK INC.

 

OrthoTek is a growing DME company with a need for another Driver in the Wichita, KS market.
This person will be responsible for arranging, delivering, servicing, picking up and repairing Home Medical Equipment.  You will be traveling in a company provided vehicle and lifting, assembling and disassembling heavy equipment.  Warehouse duties will require cleaning, repairing and organizing Home Medical Equipment.  
Times for work will be staggered with other Drivers in the warehouse.  Driver hours can be varied between 9 am to 5 pm and 11 am to 7 pm.  Must have the ability to work weekends and ability to be on-call after hours and on weekends.

 

Summary: Drives Company owned vehicle over established route to deliver products, pick up, repair or maintain equipment or render services, collects money from customers, and makes change by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties as may be assigned.

 

          Implements the Company Mission Statement.

          Recognize and respect client rights during the provision of care or services and conducting business relationships with client and the public in an ethical manner.

          Perform assessments/reassessments of each client’s care or service needs throughout the client’s contact with the organization including physical assessments; psychosocial assessments; functional assessments; and activity assessments.

          Formulate, revise; and maintain basic client care plans based on physician orders and assessment findings including the identification of client problems/needs, goals, and actions and interventions relating to the care or service provided.

          Monitor client’s response to the care or services provided, the actions or interventions taken, and the outcome of the care or service provided.

          Educate clients/caregivers with relation to their home medical equipment to facilitate safe and effective equipment use and desired care, treatment and service outcomes.

          Provide client care, treatment and service in a continuous and coordinated manner, in settings appropriate to meet client needs.

          Promote safe, effective patient and organizational environments and equipment use.

          Participate in on-going education, including in-services, training, and other activities, to maintain and improve individual competence.

          Obtain, utilize, and update client information in a confidential and secure manner for utilization in client care and billing applications.

          Recognize and implement infection control practices that reduce the risk of infections in clients and organizational staff.

          Drives truck to deliver and pickup such items as wheelchairs, hospital beds, support surfaces, commodes, bathroom aids, ambulation aids, oxygen, Nebulizers and disposable medical supplies, etc. to customer's home or place of business.

          Collects money from customers, makes change, and records transactions on customer receipt.

          Records sales or deliveries information on daily sales or delivery record.

          Listens to and resolves service complaints appropriate to scope of practice.

          Places stock on shelves or racks and truck.

          Sets up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issues sales promotion materials to customers.

          Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup or delivery.

          Cleans inside of truck and equipment and keeps clean and dirty supplies segregated.

          Performs routine maintenance on truck.

          Participates and attends staff meetings.

          Participates in Performance Improvement (PI) activities.

          Participates in e-learning program.
